Piston Air Compressors

Piston air compressors contain one or more cylinders (pistons) driven by the motor. Ambient air is drawn in and then compressed in one or more stages until the desired pressure is reached. After compression, the compressed air passes through a cooler and is then stored in an air receiver tank.

Applications:
Piston compressors are mainly designed for small compressed air requirements. Single-stage compressors can reach up to 8–10 bar, while multi-stage compressors can produce pressures of up to 15 bar.
